Is FREE Shipping Really Free?
The reason for this post about FREE shipping came about when a customer called inquiring about an item. Before she hung up the phone, she ended the conversation with, “Just love your prices.” We then explained to her that we keep our prices low because of the no frills packaging and by not offering free shipping.

From past experience, we know that when someone purchases a large amount of beads (multiple items) that has added-in shipping; the items more often than not costs MORE than if they had purchased the same items with the shipping charges calculated at the end.

HERE’S THE SCENARIO: Five strings of 20mm opaque round beads costs $16.60.

Order #1: If a customer purchases 30 strings of 20mm opaque round beads, the weight of these items is 3 pounds and 1 ounce. The cost of the beads would be $99.60 plus a flat rate box shipping amount of $10.95 for a final total of $110.55.

Free shipping is not really “free shipping” because companies just simply add in the cost of shipping to the selling price. If USBEADERY.COM, LLC were to do this, the total cost for the same order above would be $119.16. Let’s examine how we got to this price.

Order #2: Since the regular price of 5 strings of beads is $16.60 and the weight is 12.1 ounces, the shipping cost is $3.26. So now the total selling price is $19.86 for 5 strings. Knowing this, the total selling price for 30 strings would be $119.16.

From the two orders, FREE shipping would cost you the customer an extra $8.86.

Our aim is to give our customers the best value for their money. This is why we maintain a shipping calculator and offer the no frills packaging.

I have a company. Can I order wholesale?
The better price break is at the third tier (largest quantity) of the product price. We do however, offer an additional price break for orders over $800. Contact us for details.

Can I order a certain bead in a different size or color?
Since the MOQ (Manufacturer Order Quantity) is about 20,000 beads per color and per size, it would not be cost effective for a small quantity or string of beads.

Will ordering through you website process my order faster?
We prefer you order through our secure website, as internet orders are given priority status and will be filled much more quickly than orders placed by phone or email. When you place an online order, you will receive a confirmation email once the order is received.

Do you ship internationally?
We can ship to the following countries. Just send us an email with the items you would like and we will return a quote on the entire order with shipping. Duties and taxes on orders outside the US are due at time of delivery. These charges are not calculated during checkout and are not collected by USBeadery. Please consult your local customs office for more details about duties and taxes.

Do you have a retail store?
We are a total online plastic bead supplier. Having a brick-and-mortar store means having to hire more people and do more retail prep work ... thus us having to raise prices.

Is your web site secure?
USBEADERY.COM, LLC uses Secure Server Software (SSL) that is among the best in use today by e-commerce Web sites. Your personal information, including sensitive credit card information, is encrypted so it is indecipherable by others as it travels across the Internet.

How does secure shopping work?
The SSL technology works by sending all of your personal information, including credit card number, name and address information to a merchant service bureau (credit card processing company) in an encrypted code. Your credit card is processed live by merchant services and USBEADERY.COM, LLC does not have access to your credit card number. In addition, you are protected by the Fair Credit Billing Act, which prohibits your bank from holding you liable for more than $50.00 of fraudulent charges.

When ordering by phone, is my credit card information safe?
USBEADERY.COM, LLC also pledges to use the best and most accepted methods and technologies to insure your personal information is safe and secure. When ordering my phone, your credit card information is not stored and is immediately shredded. What credit cards do you accept?
For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express cards. All charges on your statement will read U S Beadery.

Do you accept check or money orders?
USBEADERY.COM, LLC accepts checks, money orders, and cashiers checks. Make all checks payable to U S Beadery. Payment by Check or Money Order will require an extra 10 working days for check clearance. Recovery fees up to $25 will be assessed on all returned checks. Orders WILL NOT be shipped until payment has been received.

What shipping companies or services do you use?
We have found the United States Postal Service to be fairly reliable, economical, and cost efficient. Through the United States Postal Service, we offer First Class shipping for orders less than 13 ounces and Priority Shipping for all others.

Smaller heavier parcels through the USPS using the Small Rate Box costs $4.95 + insurance, the Medium Flat Rate Box costs $10.70 + insurance, and the Large Flat Rate Box costs $14.50 + insurance. Heavier parcels will ship FedEx.

Shipping to CANADA and Internationally is somewhat higher. Please email us for more accurate international rates.

Shipping costs are non-refundable.

Do you ship to Post Office Boxes?
We can chip to a Post Office Boxes. All Post Office Boxes orders will be delivered via USPS.

Do you ship to rural route numbers?
Yes.

How much will it cost to ship?
Beads are very heavy and we try to be fair with shipping costs. USBEADERY.COM, LLC does not use shipping and handling to add to our bottom line.

If our Shopping Cart gives a high shipping rate, we will ship the best rate possible and only charge the actual cost. (We will adjust the shipping on our end.)

Shipping will be based on the actual carrier charge. The shipping method is selected at the time of ordering and the cost for shipping will be added to the order.

When will my order ship?
Shipping and delivery to most locations is 2 to 5 days Monday through Friday. Orders received before 11am Eastern Time are shipped that day. Orders placed on Friday after 11am Eastern Time, on Saturday, or Sunday will ship on Monday.

Your order may be delayed by a few days if we have a stock issue with your order. If this is the case, we will call or email you.

Can I get Express Next Day Air shipping?
Next Day Air shipping for items needed by the next day is available. When selecting your shipping option, choose EXPRESS. Our staff will ship accordingly. This service is available to most locations Monday through Friday. The cut-off time for these orders is also 11am Eastern Time.

What is your return policy?
All returns must be returned within 30 days of shipment and include a copy of the original invoice. All returned merchandise must be sent in its original container/bag, and in a completely unaltered state.

Since our online payment gateway does not provide us with your credit card information, refunds to credit cards will require us to have this information.

If ordering different items in exchange for items you are returning, please add $5.25 to cover postage. USBEADERY.COM, LLC is not responsible for postage on returned items. If you return items from large quantities for which you received quantity discounts, we reserve the right to recalculate your order total based on the actual items not returned.

What is your privacy policy?
